Buttock lift
Buttocks may start to sag through aging or after extreme weight loss, giving the appearance of a ”square” backside. Firming creams and intensive exercise usually lead to disappointing results. An operation is often a possible solution.
You can make an appointment for a consultation with the plastic surgeon. This first consultation is free of charge.
The specialist will be able to tell you if such a procedure can be performed on you. And whether the result you want is achievable. During this consultation, the surgeon may show you pre-op and post-op photos.
Buttock lift procedure
The procedure is carried out under general anaesthetic and takes approximately one hour. An incision is made above the buttocks, via which the surgeon removes the excess skin. The scar will fall below the bikini line. After stitching together the wound, the plastic surgeon applies a support bandage to the buttocks.
Post procedure
You are allowed to go home the very same day. The bandage is to be kept on for one week. After the operation, you obviously have to be careful. For a period of six weeks, you are to refrain from doing any strenuous exercise, lifting heavy weights or performing any heavy work. After approximately a month, the results will generally be plain to see.
You will go back to see the plastic surgeon a week after the procedure for a check-up and to have the bandage and stitches removed. Follow-up consultations will be made as agreed with the specialist.
