Labia correction

Having labia that are too large can be a real problem for some people. A minor surgical procedure can be performed to help this problem.

You can make an appointment for a consultation with the plastic surgeon. This first consultation is free of charge.

The specialist will be able to tell you if such a procedure can be performed on you. And whether the result you want is achievable. During this consultation, the surgeon may show you pre-op and post-op photos.

Labia correction procedure

The procedure can be performed under local anaesthetic, but general anaesthesia is generally preferred. With local anaesthetic, the tissue of the labia is sprayed with anaesthetic, after which the surgeon removes the excess tissue. Under general anaesthetic, the surgeon can remove the tissue more precisely, because it has not been sprayed. The incisions are stitched with dissolvable stitches that do not have to be removed. The scars are generally not visible.

Post procedure

You are allowed to go home the very same day. The wound generally heals quickly. You should refrain from sexual activity for three weeks, to ensure effective recovery. You will go back to see the plastic surgeon for a check-up a week after the procedure. Follow-up check-ups will be made in consultation with the specialist.
