Nose correction

The shape as well as size of your nose can be corrected (made smaller or larger).

You can make an appointment for a consultation with the plastic surgeon. This first consultation is free of charge.

The specialist will be able to tell you if such a procedure can be performed on you. And whether the result you want is achievable. During this consultation, the surgeon may show you pre-op and post-op photos.

Nose correction procedure

Depending on the scope of the procedure, it is performed under local anaesthetic or general anaesthetic. The scars are usually made inside the nose. If it is an extensive nose correction procedure, a plaster cast will be placed over the nose, together with two nose plugs.

Post procedure

You are allowed to go home the very same day. After an extensive nose correction procedure, you will be required to keep the plaster cast in place for one week. With other correction procedures, sticking plaster will be placed over the nose. After the operation, you obviously have to be careful. For a period of six weeks, you are to refrain from doing any strenuous exercise, lifting heavy weights or performing any heavy work. You will go back to see the plastic surgeon a week after the procedure for a check-up and to have the plugs, plaster cast or sticking plaster removed. Follow-up check-ups will be made in consultation with the specialist.
